cant beat the view.simple menu of sandwiches and salads and such. great introduction to Florence on a beautiful day.
as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in themain square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscanbakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for afew minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblicato enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carouselthat will bring back great memories from anyone’schildhood.

After the very first sighseeing tour of the main buildings, we decided to have a view from the top. The restaurant is located at a terrace on top of a nice department store. We only had a couple of drinks but they were served with fresh and tasty crisps. Service was fast and very nice – but the main reason to choose this place is the stunning view of Florence.
Yes, its a bit expensive, but we enjoyed the view, service was decent, food good tasting and drinks decent – my Campari Spritz was actually rather large

We visited the roof terrace cafe at La Rinascente several times during our stay and it was lovely to come in out of the heat and travel up through the air conditioned store to the roof terrace. We enjoyed extremely good iced coffees and the view across the rooftops of Florence and down into the Piazza Republica were fabulous. The service was friendly and considering the location and the lovely view, we didn’t the prices were at all unreasonable. A great place to relax when footsore and weary!
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated byan eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensityof the Duomo, able to transport tourists into thebrightest age of Florence: the Renaissance.
Who doesnot know the Brunelleschi Dome, San GiovanniBaptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything isenclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city

What a beautiful place to sit and have coffee and delicious cake and enjoy the beauty of Florence. Surprisingly the coffee was more expensive than the cake.
